Age: 3-5 years

Hazel is a charming, female German Shepherd. We don't know her exact age, but our best guess is that she's 3-5 years old. She's petite (and still putting on some needed weight) at around 60 pounds.

Even though she's an adult, she still acts like a younger dog. She loves to PLAY! She still has a lot of mischief in her personality too.

Hazel is both KID-FRIENDLY and CAT-FRIENDLY in her foster home! She's currently fostered with several kitties and is doing great with all of them. She also has been terrific interacting with the dog-savvy, active children in her foster home and seems to enjoy being around kids.

As for other dogs, Hazel is choosy about her friends. She loves to play with an easy-going male GSD in her foster home. Romping with that dog is one of her favorite things to do! However, she's very bossy with other female dogs, so we would prefer not to place her in a home with other female dogs.

She enjoys meeting new people and just wants to make a friend and be loved. Her obedience training is a work in progress, but she learns quickly and really wants to please her person.

She's already crate-trained and house-trained in her foster home. She does well on a regular schedule. At this point, she's still too full of mischief to be left free to roam the house on her own during the work day, so continuing with the kennel is important while she learns house manners.
