Red Stick German Shepherd Rescue
Misty (a/k/a "Misty Roux") is a beautiful, young German Shepherd Dog. She's about a year and a half old. She weighs approximately 65 pounds.
She has displayed a magnificent temperament in her foster home. In fact, she seems to make friends wherever she goes (even the vet clinic). She is affectionate and enjoys sprawling on a lap and getting rubs.
She gets along nicely with other dogs, and she loves to play rambunctiously with dogs who will rough-house with her. However, Misty does not like cats.
She loves to swim and ride in the car. She also loves her toys. She especially enjoys cuddling with her people. It's important to her to be able to touch her humans, so she needs a home where she can live as part of the family and stay close. Her devotion to her people makes her an excellent example for her breed.
Misty is learning house manners and some basic obedience in her foster home. When she gets excited, she will jump on people, though she's learning to try to contain her excitement. She needs an adopter who is committed to continuing her training.
Misty recently tested negative for heartworm disease and has been kept on prevention in her foster home.
