Brewer is a petite, young male. We believe he's a long-coated German Shepherd Dog, perhaps with a touch of another breed in him. He's only 8 months old. He weighs just 45 pounds (though he's probably not yet fully grown, we expect him to stay on the small side for this breed).
Although he's a little shy when he meets new people, he's very loving and affectionate with the people he trusts. He's playful with dogs and has a silly side. He's wonderful with small dogs, too. He's also been good with the kids he's met while we've had him. (We do not know how he is with cats, as there are no cats in his foster home.)
Brewer likes to snuggle. If you want a 45-pound lap dog, he's your guy. His personality makes him a very good candidate for someone looking for their first dog (or first German Shepherd).
He would benefit from some obedience training and leash training (he will pull, if allowed to). He is already crate trained in his foster home, but he needs to be crated near another dog (he likes the company). We thus prefer to place Brewer in a home with another dog, as he seems to enjoy canine companionship.
