Dahlia appears to be a German Shepherd pup estimated to be just 6 - 12 months old. She's petite at just 44 pounds, but she may yet get a little bigger.

She's very affectionate and fun-loving. She gets along well with other dogs in her foster home, and she loves to play. She's still got the goofy personality of a puppy, and she enjoys toys of all kinds.

Dahlia is very smart. She's already house-trained. She was shown once how to ring the bell on the door to go out, and now she uses it regularly to announce when she needs to go outside.

She seems to be especially fond of men, so we think she would be happiest in a home where she can be a "daddy's girl."

She is already crate-trained. She has learned how to settle down when it's "quiet time" by laying calmly at her person's feet.

Because Dahlia is still young, she is still mouthy with people when she gets excited and plays. This is very normal in Shepherd puppies, but it can be annoying to people unfamiliar with it. We thus don't recommend her for a home with tiny children. She requires an adopter who understands how to redirect this behavior and patiently help her grow out of it.
