Ronnie is a young, happy-go-lucky male. He's probably around 2 years old. He's a German Shepherd likely mixed with just enough Lab to have the best of both breeds. Think of him as a one-of-a-kind "German Shepradore."

Ronnie is as charming a dog as you'll ever meet. We think he would be a great first-dog for a family looking for an affectionate, easy dog.

He's got terrific dog social skills. In fact, in the public shelter, he was The Dog they selected to temperament test other dogs because he's so easy-going and reliable. When we walked him into a room full of cats at the shelter, he didn't blink. All he cared about was the love of the people he was with. When a kitten hissed at him, he wanted to lick it.

Ronnie's temperament is has been good as gold: as best we can tell, he likes everybody and gets along with everything. If you're looking for an aloof, protective Shepherd, he's not your guy. If you're looking for a best buddy to snuggle with, he's the one.

He also appears to be a smart boy. He already knows how to sit and shake. In his foster home, he's working on his house training and crate training.

Ronnie is very strong on a leash. He wants very much to please, so he'll be easy and fun to work with in an obedience class---he'll be the dog in class doing everything he can to make his favorite person smile!
