Murphy is a 4 to 6-month-old, male pup. He's submissive to other dogs, but loves to play. He's sweet and snuggly and wonderful -- and more low-key than most pups his age, but we expect that to change as he gets more comfortable with his surroundings. He's a world-class cuddle-muffin too.
Purebred pups are very rare in rescue, and we've had many people contact us asking about adopting pups in the past. He's an amazing little guy with a terrific personality, and we want to find him the very best home we can to ensure he grows up happy and healthy and never, ever has to worry about losing his home again. A commitment to complete a professional obedience training course will be required in order to help him grow up to be the best dog he can be--it will be part of his adoption contract.
If you have been looking for a pup and are near Baton Rouge, please get your application in so that we can consider it! We'll use this coming week to review applications and get him checked by our vet. We want to make sure he's healthy, get him house trained and help him acclimate to life in his foster home.
We will bring him out to do his first meet-and-greet at the RSGSR booth at Bark-in-the-Park on Sunday Feb. 16 for the Krewe of Mutts Parade in downtown Baton Rouge. As always, our adoption process requires a vet reference and home check.
