Greta came to us after a caring volunteer in a shelter in Alexandria worked hard to get this special dog noticed -- and once we met Greta, we understood why. This dog is a gem!
Greta is a young female, estimated to be just 2 years old.
She has a sweet, soft personality. She's been terrific with the young kids in her foster home. She's also been getting along well with the other dogs in her foster home. She's okay with cats, but needs some guidance, as her instinct is to chase them if they run.
She's slow to warm up to new people, but once you earn her trust, you've got a friend for life. She's looking for a person with a soft touch and patient demeanor. We have a feeling people haven't always been kind to this angel, so it's essential that her new family be committed to positive training methods. She loves training with rewards (treats), so we know she'll thrive with this kind of training.
She's a smart girl with a big heart.
